This week, an American icon is laid to rest. JoPa. Penn State’s legendary foot ball coach Joe Paterno. There is plenty of room to ponder here. Imagine how Paterno would have been remembers had he passed six months ago. A hero, great man, humanitarian, the winnings football coach of all time, a great leader. Today, however, there is debate.
After a child molestation scandal, and feelings (including Jopa’s own) that he did not do enough to prevent the atrocities allegedly committed by his long time assistant, the country debate how to remember this once considered by all great man.
I am not here to judge, or eulogize. Just to marvel at the fact that a person’s legacy, 85 years in the making can change in an instant. Powerful! Please share your thoughts.
